About Us

Minick Butchers have shops throughout Fife, Perth & Kinross, Angus and now Tayside.

Stuart Minick “The Boss” has been a butcher for 37 years. He started in 1984 working with his father in their first shop in Tayport.

After a short period of working down south, in Hampshire, London and Bristol in the early 2000, Stuart returned to Scotland and worked for Angus Organics and Stephen Mitchell’s Buffalo Farm shops. Then he decided to go it alone and opened his first shop, Minick of St Andrews, in St Andrews on 12th February 2010, since then, the Minick Group has grown and grown, he now has 9 retail shops and 2 concessions (counters within another shop) at Jamesfield Farm Shop & Restaurant, Abernethy and at The Crieff Food Co, Crieff.

There is plenty of choice in our shops. As well as our excellent Value Packs for two or more people, there is our BBQ Packs, perfect for this time of the year.

We make all our own Black and White puddings and, as seen on the BBC Antiques Road Trip, our award winning haggis.

All our pastries are made at our own bakery unit.
